Having spent more than 20 years as a successful sales executive selling technology and service solutions into the financial services, public and commerical sectors I decided it was time to break out on my own and help others with the experience I had gained.
I have always been passionate about providing clients with high quality proposals that really demonstrate an understanding of their business and the problems or issues they needed to solve. Sales proposals and tender responses are about the client and solving their needs and issues and not about how fantastic a particular company is (a common mistake). Taking this approach enabled me to repeatedly exceed sales targets and achieve a number of sales awards.
My practical experience is supported by a wealth formal training including Solutions Selling, Tom Sant's Writing Persuasive Business Proposals and Shipley's Writing Winning Proposals. I am also APMP certified to Practitioner Level - APMP is the worldwide authority for professionals dedicated to the process of winning business through proposals, bids, tenders and presentations.
I formed Intofocus in 2012 and have been providing bid services to clients since then on a direct basis or through specialist bid services providers such as Shipley for whom I am a Business Partner.
